Victoria practices primarily in insurance defence litigation, including bodily injury, accident benefits, subrogated and property damage claims. Prior to joining the firm, Victoria practiced insurance defence litigation at a national firm and personal injury litigation and commercial litigation at a boutique firm in Ottawa. Victoria has passionately and successfully represented her clients in matters before the Ontario Small Claims Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice (for Highway Traffic Act violations), the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the License Appeal Tribunal.
Her experience includes drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting examinations for discovery, arguing contested and non-contested motions and applications, representing clients at mediation, settlement conferences and pre-trial, and advocating at trial in the Ontario Court of Justice.
Victoria obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated cum laude. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with great distinction from McGill University. Victoria is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association and the Advocacy Club. Victoria is also the President of the Emily Murphy Non-Profit Housing Corporation, which provides rent-geared-to-income housing to single parents and their children.
