Jessica H. G. Harrison
Jessica’s practice focuses on insurance defence litigation, with varied experience in product liability, occupier’s liability, municipal and Crown liability, and motor vehicle liability claims. Prior to joining the firm, Jessica practiced personal injury litigation and commercial litigation at boutique firms in Southern Ontario and Toronto. Jessica is a keen advocate for her clients and has successfully argued cases before the Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
She takes pride in the efficient day-to-day handling of her files with an eye for time- and cost-effective resolutions. Her experience includes conducting examinations for discovery and examinations under oath, arguing contested motions, representing clients as lead counsel at arbitration and as counsel at trial, and settling files at mediation and pre-trial.
Jessica has obtained dozens of without-costs dismissals on behalf of her commercial and institutional clients. She recently settled a complex occupier’s liability claim involving orthopedic injuries for less than 20% of her client’s pre-litigation offer to settle.
Jessica is a graduate of Queen’s University, where she obtained her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with distinction and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012.
